  2. if only assumption II is implicit.
  3. if either I or II is implicit.
  4. if neither I nor II is implicit.
  5. if both I and II are implicit.

Statement:
“Our country has decided to give all types of support to country X in its objective to itself poliofree by 2002.”
— Health minister of country Y
Assumptions:
I. Without the support of country Y, country X will not be able to make itself polio-free.
II. Country X is not capable of making itself poliofree by 2002.

External support makes things easier. But we cannot assume that the success of a programme hinges only on this external support.
