Let the numbers be x and y where x > y.

Then, x - y =$15/100$(x + y)

x – y = $3/20$(x + y)

20x – 20y = 3x + 3y

20x – 3x = 20y + 3y

If 30% of (B – A) = 18% of (B + A), then the ratio A : B is equal to

By componendo and dividendo,
