B turns to his right and walks 10 km at the same speed. Then both turn to their left and cover a distance of 5 km at the same speed. What will be the distance between them?

The above fig. shows the movements of A and B.
We have to find A'B'
A'B' = A'F+FB'
FB’= AB – (AC + BD + OD)
= [20 –(5 + 5 + 5) =] 5km
∴ A'B' = [5 + 5 ] = 10 km
[A'F = 5 km, from the fig.]

Dinesh and Ramesh start together from a certain point in the opposite direction on motorcycles. The speed of Dinesh is 60 km per hour and of Ramesh is 44 km per hour. What will be the distance between them after 15 minutes?

Dinesh covered in 15 minutes
= 60 x $15/60$ = 15 km
Ramesh covered in 15 minutes
= 44 x $15/60$ = 11 km
