Assumptions:
I. Literacy helps in driving.
II. Children have a status equal to the adults.

Answer: (a)

I is implicit: the proposal that drivers employed should not be illiterate has to be based on this assumption. II is not implicit. In fact, the assumption is just the contrary. The use of “at least for children” assumes that children are or should be privileged ones.

It doesn’t mean that the candidate listens to news on the radio, will not read newspaper or radio is not the only source of information (news).

“Private property, trespassers will be prosecuted”- A notice on a plot of land
Assumptions:
I. The passerby may read the notice and may not trespass
II. The people are scared of prosecution

Answer: (e)

Any notice is displayed assuming that people will read the notice and also follow the content of the notice.

So, I is implicit. Besides, the notice threatens any trespassers to be prosecuted.

So, II is also implicit

I is not implicit because of the word ‘every’. Narcotics Control Bureau assumes that some of the people must have information; but it does not assume that all the people have information regarding drug trafficking. II is obviously implicit. That is why instruction is being given.
