If a dividend of Rs. 57,834 is to be divided among Meena, Urmila and Vaishali in the proportion of 3:2:1, find Urmila's share.

= $(2/6×57834)$ = Rs.19278
Pinku, Rinku and Tinku divide an amount of Rs. 4,200 amongst themselves in the ratio of 7:8:6 respectively. If an amount of Rs. 200 is added to each of their shares, what will be the new respective ratio of their shares of amount?

Let the number of students in colleges A and B be 3x and 4x respectively.
According to the question. ${3x + 50}/{4x} =5/6$
⇒20x = 18x + 300⇒2x = 300⇒x=${300}/2$ = 150
