Combined Civil Services Examination-I "Group I" Prelims Notification 2022-23

Tentative Dates & Time, Vaccancy Details, Qualification, OTR & Important Highlights :

Applicants are directed to read all the information / instructions / guidelines given in this notification and the Commission’s “Instructions to applicants” before applying for this recruitment. Clarification if any required may be obtained over phone and email well ahead of the last date for submission of online application. Candidates should follow the instructions given in the online application also.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates only through online mode upto 22.08.2022 for direct recruitment to the vacancies in the posts included in Combined Civil Services Examination-I (Group-I Services).

Note:-

(i) The applicants are permitted to submit and edit their online application till the last date for submission of online application.

(ii) Candidates who have made mistakes / errors and furnished wrong information in the online application inadvertently can edit the application details in the Application Correction Window period also and furnish the correct details. After Correction Window Period, no modification is allowed and request in this regard will not be responded.

(iii) Refer Annexure-IV of this notification regarding tentative timeline for the recruitment process.

(iv) Applicant should submit only one application for this recruitment.

TNPSC Group 1 - (2022-23) "Preliminary" Exam Pattern/ Scheme (Objective Type)

Let's disscuss the selection procedure of TNPSC Group 1 - 2022-23;

1. ONE TIME REGISTRATION & GROUP 1 EXAMINATION:

It is mandatory for applicants to register their basic particulars through One Time online Registration System on payment of Rs.150/- (Rupees One hundred and fifty only) towards registration fee and then they should apply only through online for this recruitment. The One Time Registration will be valid for five years from the date of registration. Thereafter, the registration should be renewed by paying the prescribed renewal fee.

One Time Registration will not be considered as an application / Examination fee for any post. An applicant should submit online application separately for each and every examination / recruitment for which he / she intends to appear. The registration fee paid towards the One Time Registration is not an application / Examination fee for this recruitment. Candidates have to pay the prescribed examination fee.

**Linking of Aadhaar with One Time Registration is mandatory. For further details refer para 2 of the Commission’s “Instructions to Applicants”. **

2. VACANCY DETAILS FOR TNPSC GROUP 1 2022-23 SERVICES:

Note:- The number of vacancies notified is approximate and liable for modification before publication of the results of the preliminary examination.

3. QUALIFICATIONS DETAILS FOR TNPSC GROUP 1 2022-23 SERVICES:

Note :-

(i) * As per G.O (Ms) No.93, Personnel and Administrative Reforms (M) Department, dated 17.07.2018, the Maximum Age Limit has been enhanced by 2 years. As per G.O (Ms) No.91, Human Resources Management (S) Department, dated 13.09.2021, the Maximum Age Limit prescribed for appointment by direct recruitment has been enhanced by another 2 years.

(ii) “Others” [i.e., Applicants not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs] who have put in five years and more of service in the State/Central Government are not eligible even if they are within the age limit. (For further details refer para 3(F) of “Instructions to Applicants” and Section 3(r) of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016)

AGE CONCESSION:

(i) For Persons with Benchmark Disability :

Persons with Benchmark Disability are eligible for age concession upto 10 years over and above the maximum age limit prescribed above. (Section 64 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016 and as per Para 5D of “Instructions to Applicants”))

(ii) For Ex-Servicemen :

a) The Maximum age limit is 55 years for the applicants who belongs to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s and BCMs.

b) The maximum age limit is 50 years for “Others” (i.e.) applicants not belonging to any of the above said categories. [Section 63 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016 and as per G.O (Ms) No.91, Human Resources Management (S) Department, dated 13.09.2021].

c) The above mentioned age concession will not apply to the Ex-servicemen applicants who have already been recruited to any class or service or category. [Section 3(j) of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016]

B. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 21.07.2022)

Applicants should possess the following or its equivalent qualification:-

Provided that, other things being equal, preference will be given to the applicants, who possess the qualification mentioned against each of the following posts:-

[Applicants to be admitted to the Main Written Examination should upload and submit evidence relating to all claims including preferential qualifications, if any, claimed by them when called for]

Note:-

I. The educational qualifications prescribed for these posts should have been obtained by passing the required qualification in the following order of studies viz. 10th + HSC / Diploma or its equivalent + U.G. Degree as required under Section 25 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016.

II. The applicants, who have written the final year degree examination, may also apply for the Preliminary Examination for direct recruitment to the posts included in Combined Civil Services-I (Group-I Services), subject to the condition that they should produce the proof of having passed the degree examination while uploading the original documents for the Main Written Examination (last date for this activity would be announced later) failing which they will not be admitted to the Main Written Examination.

III. The applicants, who have passed the final professional M.B.B.S or any other Medical Examination, but have not completed the Internship, may also apply to the Preliminary Examination for direct recruitment to the posts included in Combined Civil Services-I (Group-I Services), subject to the condition that they should submit a copy of certificate from the authority concerned of the University/Institution that they had passed the requisite final professional Medical Examination, when admitted to the Main Written Examination. In such cases, the applicants will be required to produce at the time of their certificate verification for oral test, original degree or a certificate from the concerned competent authority of the University/ Institution that they had completed all requirements (including completion of Internship) for the award of the degree.

IV. Applicants claiming equivalence of qualification to the prescribed qualification should upload and submit evidence for equivalence of qualification in the form of Government Order issued on or before the date of this notification when called for, failing which, their application will be summarily rejected after due process. The Government Orders regarding equivalence of qualification issued after the date of this notification will not be accepted. [Refer para 9 of “Instructions to Applicants” and “Disclaimer”].

DISCLAIMER

“The Government orders relating to Equivalence of qualification are available on the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission’s website. However, if the applicant possesses an equivalence of qualification other than one mentioned in the Commission‘s website and if Government orders to this effect have been issued on or before the date of this notification, applicants should furnish the details of the same while applying and should produce a copy of the Government orders, when called for by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, failing which their application will be rejected after due process. The Government orders regarding equivalence of qualification issued after the date of this notification will not be considered for this recruitment”
