COMMON RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR SPECIALIST OFFICERS IN PARTICIPATING ORGANISATIONS

The online examination (Preliminary and Main) for the next Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for selection of personnel in Specialist Officers’ cadre posts listed below in the Participating Banks is tentatively scheduled in December 2021/ January 2022.

Applicants who are willing to appear in this exam need to know and understand the latest IBPS SO Syllabus entirely & effectively. This will enhance the chance of qualifying for the IBPS SPECIALIST OFFICERS Prelims 2022-23 examination.

Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join any of the Participating Banks listed at (A) as one of the Specialist Officers’ post, is required to register for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP SPL-XI). The examination will be two tier i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases, Online Preliminary and Online Main. Candidates who will qualify in Online Preliminary Examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Online Main Examination and shortlisted candidates in the Online Main examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be conducted by the Participating Banks and co-ordinated by the Nodal Bank. Depending on the final vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 2022-23 based on the business needs of the Participating Banks and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Banks keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy, administrative convenience, etc. The validity for CRP SPL-XI will automatically expire at the close of business on 31.03.2023 with or without giving any notice.

Indicative category-wise vacancies of each of the Participating Banks for each post are given vide Annexure I. Recruitment in Participating Banks is a dynamic process which depends upon restriction imposed, business volume, business growth, health of the banks, branch expansion, internal and external factors, structural changes etc. Vacancies mentioned here are indicative and anticipated as communicated by the Participating Banks. However, Provisional allotment will be made based on the actual vacancies reported by the Participating Banks.

IBPS SO 2022-23 "Participating Organisations"

This system of Common Recruitment Process- Online Preliminary & Online Main Examination, Common Interview and provisional allotment for recruitment of Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee posts in Participating Organisations has the approval of the appropriate authorities.

IBPS, an autonomous body, has received a mandate from the organisations mentioned at (A) below, to conduct the recruitment process as mentioned above, once a year. IBPS will make arrangements for conducting online preliminary examination, declare result of Online Preliminary Examination, inform the shortlisted candidates about the online main examination, declare the results of the Online Main Examination and inform the shortlisted candidates about the interview. Interviews will be conducted by the participating organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each state/ UT. Prospective candidates will have to apply to IBPS after carefully reading the advertisement regarding the process of examinations, interview and provisional allotment, eligibility criteria, online registration processes, payment of prescribed application fee/ intimation charges, pattern of examination, issuance of call letters etc. and ensure that they fulfil the stipulated criteria and follow the prescribed processes.

IBPS SO 2022-23 "Eligibility Criteria"

Candidates, intending to apply for CRP SPL-XI should ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria specified by IBPS in this advertisement:

Please note that the eligibility criteria specified herein are the basic criteria for applying for the post. Candidates must necessarily produce the relevant documents in original and a photocopy in support of their identity and eligibility -pertaining to category, nationality, age, educational qualifications etc. as indicated in the online application form at the time of interview and any subsequent stage of the recruitment process as required by IBPS/ Participating Banks. Please note that no change of category will be permitted at any stage after registration of the online application and the result will be processed considering the category which has been indicated in the online application, subject to guidelines of the Government of India in this regard. Merely applying for CRP/ appearing for and being shortlisted in the online examination (Preliminary and Main) and/or in the subsequent interview and/ subsequent processes does not imply that a candidate will necessarily be offered employment in any of the Participating Banks. No request for considering the candidature under any category other than the one in which one has applied will be entertained.

I. Nationality / Citizenship:

A candidate must be either -

  1. a Citizen of India or
  2. a subject of Nepal or
  3. a subject of Bhutan or
  4. a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

* In case of dual specialisations, one of the fields of specialisation should be in the field prescribed. In case of major/ minor specialisations, major specialisation should be in the stream prescribed. Candidates having PG Degree (MMS or MBA)/PG Diploma with more than two specialisations are not eligible to apply.

** Candidates should ensure that the educational qualification possessed by them shall be as per the prescribed educational qualifications mentioned in the advertisement and they fulfill the above eligibility criteria. No equivalent educational qualification shall be considered as eligible by IBPS or Participating Organisations.

For posts other than IT Officer Scale I: Candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/ Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/ College/ Institute.

Important Note:

  1. All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the final result should have been declared on or before 23.11.2021.
    Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 23.11.2021 has to be submitted at the time of interview.
    The date of passing the eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark-sheet or provisional certificate issued by University / Institute. In case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University / Institute and web based certificate is issued then proper document/certificate in original issued and signed by the appropriate authority of the University / Institute indicating the date of passing properly mentioned thereon will be reckoned for verification and further process.
  2. Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in Graduation calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage and indicated in online application. If called for interview, the candidate will have to produce a certificate issued by the appropriate authority inter alia stating that the norms of the University regarding conversion of grade into percentage and the percentage of marks scored by the candidate in terms of norms.
  3. Calculation of Percentage: The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks (in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any) multiplied by 100. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.
  4. Candidates can apply for only one post. Multiple applications will be summarily rejected.

"Scores & Cutt-off" for IBPS SO 2022-23:

Scores:

  • The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile method.
  • Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations

Cut-off Score (Online Main Examination):

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online Main examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview.

MARKS OBTAINED IN THE ONLINE MAIN EXAMINATION ONLY WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR SHORTLISTING FOR INTERVIEW AND ALSO FOR FINAL MERIT LISTING


"INTERVIEW Process" for IBPS SO 2022-23:

• Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Online Main examination for CRP- PO/MT-X will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at select centres. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter. Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from authorised IBPS website www.ibps.in. Please note that any request regarding change in date, centre etc. of interview will not be entertained. However the conducting agencies reserve the right to change the date/ venue/ time/ centre etc. of interview or hold supplementary process for particular date / session / venue / centre / set of candidates at its discretion, under unforeseen circumstances, if any.

• The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of Online Main Exam and interview will be 80:20 respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Main Examination of CRP- PO/MT-XI and Interview. Interview score of the candidates failing to secure minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview or further process shall not be disclosed.

• A candidate should qualify both in the Online Main Exam and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available subsequently on authorised IBPS website.

While appearing for the Interview, the candidate should produce valid prescribed documents given below. In the absence of documents candidature of the candidates shall be cancelled. IBPS/ Nodal Bank/ Participating organisations take no responsibility to receive/ collect any certificate/remittance/ document sent separately


List of Documents to be produced at the time of interview for IBPS SO 2022-23 (as applicable)

The following documents in original and self attested photocopies in support of the candidate's eligibility and identity are to be invariably submitted at the time of interview failing which the candidate may not be permitted to appear for the interview. Non submission of requisite documents by the candidate at the time of interview will debar his candidature from further participation in the recruitment process.

  1. Printout of the valid Interview Call Letter
  2. Valid system generated printout of the online application form registered for CRP- PO/MT-XI
  3. Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Municipal Authorities or SSLC/ Std. X Certificate with DOB)
  4. Photo Identify Proof as indicated in Point F of the advertisement below.
  5. Marksheets or certificates for educational qualifications. Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 23.11.2021 has to be submitted.
  6. Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by Government of India in case of the SC / ST / OBC category candidates.
    Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming under creamy layer and/ or if their caste does not find place in the Central List are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as General in the online application form.
    Income and Asset Certificate issued by any one of the Authorities as notified by the Government of India in the prescribed format in the case of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category candidates
  7. Disability certificate in the prescribed format issued by the District Medical Board in case of Persons With Benchmark Disability category.
    If the candidate has used the services of a Scribe at the time of online exam the duly filled in details of the scribe in the prescribed format
  8. An Ex-serviceman candidate has to produce a copy of the Service or Discharge book alongwith pension payment order and documentary proof of rank last / presently held (substantive as well as acting) at the time of interview. Those who are still in defence service should submit a certificate from a competent authority that they will be relieved from defence services, on or before 22.11.2022.
  9. Candidates serving in Government / quasi govt offices/ Public Sector Undertakings (including Nationalised Banks and Financial Institutions) are required to produce a "No Objection Certificate" from their employer at the time of interview, in the absence of which their candidature will not be considered and travelling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid. The No Objection Certificate should not be issued for appearing in interview for selection to any particular participating organization as the Common Recruitment Process is for all participating organisations. Production of such conditional NOCs at the time of interview will not be considered and such candidates will not be permitted to participate in interview/will not be considered for further selection process.
  10. Persons eligible for age relaxation under B IV (5) must produce a certificate from the District Magistrate to the effect that they are eligible for relief in terms of the Rehabilitation Package for 1984 Riot Affected Persons sanctioned by the Government and communicated vide Ministry of Finance, Dept. of Financial Services communication No.F.No.9/21/2006-IR dated 27.07.2007.
  11. Experience certificates, if any (Hardcopy/Digitally signed copy/ Received from Valid email id—subject to verification of experience certificates will be accepted).
  12. Persons falling in categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) of Point B (I) should produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt. Of India
  13. Any other relevant documents in support of eligibility

PROVISIONAL ALLOTMENT for IBPS SO 2022-23:

On completion of the interview process, depending on the vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 2022- 23 based on the business needs of the Participating Banks and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Banks, based on merit-cum-preference keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy, various guidelines issued by Govt. of India/Others from time to time, administrative exigency, etc. Vacancies given in this advertisement are indicative. Provisional allotment shall be done on the basis of final vacancies to be reported by the Participating Banks. Candidates should not claim indicative vacancies as final for provisional allotment. No change in the data already registered by the candidate in the online application form is possible.

A candidate belonging to reserved category, selected on the basis of norms as applicable to General Category, will be treated at par with a General category candidate. Such own merit candidates belonging to reserved categories who are provisionally allotted under unreserved (General) category will not be adjusted against a reserved post. However their original category as registered in the online registration will remain unchanged.

In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before/ above the candidate junior in age), as per the prevailing practice.

The provisional allotment is subject to the candidate fulfilling the criteria for Participating Banks and identity verification to the satisfaction of the allotted bank. This does not constitute an offer of employment. In case it is detected at any stage of the recruitment process that, the candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria his/her candidature/ chance in the process shall stand forfeited.

As the provisional allotment will be made to Participating Banks on merit cum preference basis, once the provisional allotment is made, no request for change shall be entertained. Any request for change shall result in cancellation of candidature. Provisional allotment once made shall be final and binding on the candidate and no further allotment can be requested. Further, a candidate who is provisionally allotted will forfeit his/her candidature/ chance for the process if he/she does not avail the offer of appointment from the allotted Participating Bank.

Issuance of offer of appointment including terms and conditions, formalities for verification, joining etc. is solely the decision of the Participating Banks and shall be final and binding. IBPS shall have no role therein. Any queries in this regard shall be directed to the Participating Banks only. A reserve list to the extent of approximately 10 percent of the vacancies under each category for each post may be kept, subject to the availability of candidates. This does not guarantee provisional allotment to/recruitment by the Participating Bank(s). In the event of Participating Banks providing further vacancies during April 2022-March 2023 at different intervals, provisional allotment may be carried out three to four times for the candidates in the reserve list, based on the vacancies provided by some or any of the participating banks at different intervals during the period. However, if no vacancy is furnished by the Participating Banks owing to exigencies or otherwise during the validity period, the candidates under the reserve list will not be considered for provisional allotment. The reserve list will expire automatically on 31.03.2023 without any notice. Candidates who are not provisionally allotted or not in the reserve list will not be considered for any further process under CRP SPL-XI for vacancies for 2022-23.

IBPS is not responsible in case the Participating Banks do not notify sufficient vacancies to exhaust the reserve list. Similarly, neither the Participating Banks nor IBPS is bound to notify every vacancy that may arise in any Participating Bank during pendency of reserve list. IBPS is not responsible for the recruitment of candidates, and will only act upon the vacancies notified by the Participating Banks in that regard within the specified period.

The decision of IBPS in provisional allotment of Banks shall be final and binding upon the selected candidates. However IBPS reserves the right to cancel, reallot Bank-wise allocation/ change the process depending upon exigencies or otherwise.

This is an All India cadre and provisionally allotted candidates (subject to fulfilling all required criteria) may be posted anywhere in India/ outside India as per discretion of the participating bank.


IDENTITY VERIFICATION for IBPS PO 2022-23:

I. DOCUMENTS TO BE PRODUCED:

In the examination hall as well as at the time of interview, the call letter along with a photocopy of the candidate’s currently valid photo identity (bearing exactly the same name as it appears on the call letter) such as PAN Card/ Passport/ Permanent Driving Licence/ Voter’s Card/ Bank Passbook with photograph/ Photo identity proof issued by a Gazzetted Officer/ People’s Representative along with a photograph / Identity Card issued by a recognised college/ university/ Aadhar/ E-aadhar card with a photograph/ Employee ID/ Bar Council ID card with photograph should be submitted to the invigilator for verification. The candidate’s identity will be verified with respect to his/her details on the call letter, in the Attendance List and requisite documents submitted. If identity of the candidate is in doubt the candidate may not be allowed to appear for the Examination/ interview.

  • Ration Card and Learner's Driving License will not be accepted as valid id proof for this project.
  • In case of candidates who have changed their name, they will be allowed only if they produce original Gazette notification / their original marriage certificate / affidavit in original.

II. Social Distancing Mode conduct of Exam Related Instructions:

Different reporting time will be printed for a set of candidates. Candidate must report much before the Reporting time to avoid crowding.

  1. Candidate is required to report at the exam venue strictly as per the time slot mentioned in the admit card AND/OR informed via SMS/Mail on their registered mobile number/mail prior to exam date. It is expected that candidate strictly adhere to this time slot – as entry into the exam venue will be provided based upon the individual's time slot ONLY. Candidates should report atleast 15 minutes before the Reporting time indicated on the call Letter.
  2. Mapping of 'Candidate Roll Number and the Lab Number' will NOT be displayed outside the exam venue, but the same will be intimated to the candidates individually at the time of entry of the candidate to the exam venue and post their Admit Card/ Call Letter and ID verification.
  3. Items permitted into the venue for Candidates
    Candidates will be permitted to carry only certain items with them into the venue.
    1. Mask (WEARING A MASK is COMPULSORY)
    2. Gloves
    3. Personal transparent water bottle
    4. Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml)
    5. A simple pen
    6. Exam related documents (Call Letter/Admit Card, ID card in Original, Photocopy of ID Card, etc)
    7. Call Letter/Admit Card should be brought with the Photocopy of the Photo ID stapled with it. Original ID (same as Photocopy) is also to be brought for verification. The name on the ID and on the Call Letter/Admit Card should be exactly the same.
    8. In case of Scribe Candidates – Scribe form duly filled and signed with Photograph affixed. No other Items are permitted inside the venue.
      *Candidates are advised to bring their own water bottle
  4. Candidate should not share any of their personal belonging/material with anyone
  5. Candidate should maintain safe social distance with one another.
  6. Candidate should stand in the row as per the instructions provided at venue.
  7. If candidate is availing the scribe, then scribe also should bring their own Gloves, N95 Mask, sanitizer (50ml) and water bottle. Wearing a mask is compulsory. Both candidate and Scribe will require to be wearing N95 Mask.
  8. A Candidate must have Aarogya Setu App installed on his mobile phone. The Aarogya Setu status must show candidate's risk factor. A candidate will have to display this status to the Security Guard at the entry into the exam venue. In case a candidate does not have a smart phone, he/she will have to bring in a signed declaration to this effect (declaration form provided in Annexure- IV) and show the same to the Security Guard at the entry into the exam venue. Candidates with Moderate or High Risk Status on Aarogya Setu will not be allowed entry. In case any of the responses in declaration suggest COVID 19 infection/symptoms, the candidate will not be permitted inside the exam venue. [This instruction is also applicable to the scribe brought by the candidate]
  9. After Aarogya Setu status display at the entry gate, candidates will be required to switch off their mobile phones, and deposit it at the designated location, to be collected while exiting
  10. All candidates will be checked with Thermo guns at the entry point for temperature. In case, any person is observed to be having above normal temperature (> 99.14° F) or displaying any symptoms of the virus, they will not be allowed entry into the venue
  11. Candidate registration:
    1. Candidate registration will be done through photo capture.
    2. Photograph will be taken while candidate is standing.
    3. Seat number will be given to the candidate.
  12. Rough sheet call letter and ID proof management
    • Rough sheet(s) kept at each candidate desk will be used by candidate. After the end of examination candidates need to drop the rough sheets in the designated drop box as instructed at the venue.

      Call letter for Preliminary Exam: Call letter of Preliminary Exam will not be collected at the examination venue. However, it will be duly authenticated/ Stamped by the exam centre staff. Candidate will need to retain the call letter (along with authenticated/ stamped copy of the ID proof) safely.

      However, scribe form (wherever applicable) will be collected during the Preliminary Exam.

      Candidates need to bring one additional photograph (same as pasted by the candidate on call letter) alongwith the call letter (with one photograph pasted on it) and other requisite documents as per information provided in the “information handout” and call letter.

      Candidates reporting without photograph pasted on the call letter or without one additional photograph (same as pasted on call letter) will not be allowed to appear for the exam. (It is advisable that candidate retains about 8 copies of the same photograph which is uploaded at the time of Application as these would be needed for further stages of this selection process.

      At the time of Main Exam: Candidates must bring duly authenticated/stamped Preliminary Exam call letter (with authenticated copy of ID proof) as well as Main Exam call letter at the time of Main Exam. These documents along-with other requisite documents need to be submitted during the Main Exam.

      Candidates need to bring one additional photograph (same as pasted by the candidate on call letter) along-with the call letter (with one photograph pasted on it) and other requisite documents as per information provided in the “information handout” and call letter.

      Candidates reporting without photograph pasted on the call letter or without one additional photograph (same as pasted on call letter) will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

      Candidates who do not bring the authenticated/ stamped call letter of preliminary examination and authenticated/ stamped photocopy of ID proof at the time of main examination will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

    • Candidate must drop the rough sheets in the boxes provided at the exit of lab/venue while leaving. Specific instructions will be displayed at the Venue.

  13. Post Examination Controls
    • On completion of a shift, the candidates should move out in an orderly manner without crowding as instructed by the venue staff.

CALL LETTERS for IBPS PO 2022-23:

The Centre, venue address, date and time for both Online Preliminary and Online Main examinations and interview shall be intimated in the respective Call Letter.
An eligible candidate should download his/her call letter from the authorised IBPS website www.ibps.in by entering his/ her details i.e. Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth. No hard copy of the call letter/ Information Handout etc. will be sent by post/ courier.

Intimations will be sent by email and/ sms to the email ID and mobile number registered in the online application form for CRP-PO/MT-X. IBPS/ Participating Organisations will not take responsibility for late receipt / nonreceipt of any communication e-mailed/ sent via sms to the candidate due to change in the mobile number, email address, technical fault or otherwise beyond the control of IBPS/ Participating Organisations. Candidates are hence advised to regularly keep in touch with the authorised IBPS website www.ibps.in for details, updates and any information which may be posted for further guidance as well as to check their registered e-mail account from time to time during the recruitment process.
