The following question based on Arithmetical Reasoning topic of verbal reasoning
(a) 68 paise
(b) 35 paise
(c) 89 paise
(d) 40 paise
The correct answers to the above question in:
Answer: (d)
4x + 10 y = 1.69 ...(i)
3x + 7y = 1.26 ...(ii)
12x + 30y = 5.07
12x + 28y = 5.04
2y = 0.03
∴ y = ${0.03}/2$ .015
Putting the value of y in eqn. (i)
4x + 10 × 0.015 = 1.69
4x = 1.69 – 0.15 = 1.54
∴ x = ${1.54}/4$ = 0.385
1 × 0.385 + 0.015
= 0.385 + 0.015 = 0.400
= 40 paise
