Question : 82 [RBI-assistant-2020]
Side of a square is equal to the diameter of a circle. What is the perimeter of square, if area of circle is 616 cm2?
a) 116 cm
b) 124 cm
c) 112 cm
d) 120 cm
e) 132 cm
Answer »Answer: (c)
Radius of the circle = $√{616/π}$
= $√{\text"616 x 7"/22}$
= $√196$
= 14 cm
⇒ Side of the square = 2 × Radius
= 2 × 14 = 28 cm
Hence, the perimeter of the square = 4 × Side of the square
= 4 × 28 = 112 cm.

Question : 84 [RBI-assistant-2020]
Ajay spends 20% of his monthly salary on rent. He spends 40% of remaining on other expenses. If his expenditure on the other expenses is Rs. 9600, then find his expenditure on rent.
a) Rs. 12,000
b) Rs. 6,500
c) Rs. 9,000
d) Rs. 6,000
Answer »Answer: (d)
Let his monthly salary = 100x, then
Expense on rent = 20x
Expense on other expenses = 40% of (100 – 20)x
= 40% of 80x = 32x
According to question,
32x ≡ Rs. 9600
⇒ x ≡ Rs. 300
Hence, his expenditure on hours rent = 20x
⇒20 × Rs. 300
⇒ Rs. 6000.
Question : 85 [RBI-assistant-2020]
A, B and C are 3 positive integers such that A is 20% less than C and C is 50% more than B. If sum of A, B and C is 111, then find the value of B
a) 32
b) 20
c) 30
d) 40
e) 36
Answer »Answer: (c)
C = B + 50% of B = 1.5 B
A = C – 20% of C = C – 0.2C = 0.8 C = 0.8 × 1.5 B = 1.2 B
According to question,
A + B + C = 111
⇒ 1.2B + B + 1.5B = 111
⇒ 3.7B = 111
⇒ B = 30
